Lakewood is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Lakewood follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Amazing pastries and a helpful staff. The dough is so flavorful and light, it’s unreal. I got the Apricot cheese, apple cinnamon and ham and cheese and all three were thoroughly enjoyed. Would absolutely recommend stopping here if you’re in town in the morning.

I stopped in around 6:00 a.m. and was lucky enough to see fresh pastries coming right out of the oven. The owner was very friendly and shared that business has been challenging after so many years, and I genuinely felt for him. I purchased a chocolate éclair, a blueberry cream pastry, and an almond pastry. Unfortunately, all three were much drier than I expected, and the flavors didn’t quite live up to the wonderful aroma in the bakery. I was really hoping for light, fresh, and moist pastries, especially since they had just come out of the oven. I truly want to see local businesses succeed, so I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit it’s is intended. It might be worth reevaluating some of the recipes or baking process to bring back the quality that longtime customers remember. The potential is definitely there, and I hope Tommy’s can make some adjustments because I’d love to give it another try.

I was greeted by Laura when I walked in - she was so kind and sweet. The place smelled delicious. Very homey and small town feel. All treats were quite tasty - they had the savory ones today too which were fantastic.

The strudels are amazing here. We love their cheese filling. They also have different kinds of croissants and other baked goods. The best strudel in Ohio. We always stopped by whenever we were in town.

June 2023: This place came highly recommended by coworkers. There was a potluck at the office, and I wanted to bring something unique to the table. Since I didn't want to cook and I lost negotiations with my wife for her to cook (🤣😆) a traditional Vietnamese dish, buying pastries was the next best thing. I bought a cherry cheese strudel and an apple strudel, both with sugar sprinkled on top. I tried their danishes as well and have to agree with other reviewers that their raspberry cheese Danish is simply amazing. Actually, any Danish with cheese and fruit will not disappoint! PROS: * Great pastries with great taste. The strudel are very good, but the danishes are amazing. The flaky texture of the pastry coupled with the warm, fresh fillings is simply the best around the CLE. * All of the coworkers said that pastries were delicious. A powerful testament came from a friend with roots in Bosnia, "where did you get these? They taste like the pastries back home, and I could not find people who cook like this anywhere in Cleveland." * Location is easy to find. The bakery is in the city of Lakewood on Madison Ave. * Reasonable prices. I paid $2.50 for each danish and $15 for each full s
